So.. i hate people that talk about their animals like they are people... mostly when they don't have kids because they are selfish but you can tell they want kids so they treat their animals like children. Well.. i've, sadly, turned into one of THOSE.
Sometimes Geoffrey gets really brave and stands on the edge of the ironing board like so.

me and amy were just talking about THOSE types of people yesterday...we included you as one of them.
I think your fine, I actually love when "those" kinds of people do have kids, and then include the pet with the kids and the kids have their early childhood with that pet, it's cute. It sets a standard for that child of how to treat and love an animal. Overall, good parenting.
For the record, I think it's lame when people give pets stupid "pet" names, I think it's more posh to give "people" names or names in other languages. Geoffrey is one sophisticated feline.
Oh, I had better put a discaimer on that last comment, (ahem, pregnant Jessica) I mean no offense to people who name their pets anything, it goes with a dinner conversation we just had recently. ;)
also, sorry about misspelled words, I always comment late at night when I am tired. There should be spell check on the comment window, why isn't there?
I think it's better to talk to your animals like humans then your humans like animals...my mom calls her baby grand daughter lil zoe all the time. Zoe is my moms dog...I guess she is use to zoe being her lil baby. by the way thanks for coming down this weekend. I had a blast and you are great!
you've crossed over lindsay....i don't know if we can still be friends, ha!
